Are you searching for popular fat burning diets? Today’s article will cover 6 of the most popular fat burning diet plans today (plus I’ll talk more about the one diet that worked very well for me and helped me drop 52 pounds of body fat), and hopefully by the end of this post you’ll be able to make a comfortable decision on choosing the best diet for you…

Why Diets Are Becoming More And More Popular…

The race to fitness is on and many folks are hopping onto the band wagon. Some people aim to lose weight in order to get a sexy, toned and sculpted figure; others do it because they’re embarrassed with the present state of their body and want to get into shape, while the rest do it to continue staying strong and healthy.

Therefore, you are likely to come across numerous weight loss programs out there that are designed to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. And here’s the best part: You need not shell out money for an expensive gym membership; instead, you could simply pick up some highly recommended diet books and follow the plans included in them – you’ll soon be on your way to a slim and fit figure.

That said, there’s such a huge range of programs out there, you might be confused as to which one would be the best for you to try out. To help you make up your mind, have a look at the following summaries of the 6 most popular diet plans currently available on the market:-

1.) Atkins’ New Diet Revolution by Dr. Atkins

This weight loss program encourages a diet rich in protein, with less focus on carbs. You can consume plenty of meat and vegetables, but limit your intake of pasta and bread.

2.) Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet by Dr. Heller

This particular diet program advocates low carbohydrate eating. It also suggests consuming meats, fruits, vegetables, grain and dairy products. However, Dr. Heller warns against taking in too much carb.

3.) Choose to Lose by Dr. Goor

Cautions against intake of fatty foods. You are asked to maintain a “fat” budget and then given helpful instructions on how to spend it. This weight loss system does not pressure the individual to watch his carb intake. Consuming low-fat dairy products as well as meat and seafood is recommended. You are also advised to constantly fill your diet with fresh fruits and vegetables, cereals and pasta. Furthermore, Dr. Goor advocates keeping an eye on your triglyceride levels; if high, cut down on the carbs and consume more of the unsaturated fats.

4.) The Pritkin Principle

Recommends a diet rich in watery foods that make you feel full. Also gives the green light to heartily indulge in oatmeal, soups, pasta, salads, low-fat dairy and fruits and vegetables. On the other hand, the Pritkin Principle limits protein sources to seafood, poultry and lean meat. A downside to this fat-burning plan is that it places emphasis on low amounts of saturated fats and calcium and also limits the intake of protein.

5.) Volumetrics

The ideal program for low-density calorie eating. Recommends the same foods as the Pritkin Principle, but strictly restricts fatty/dry foods such as pretzels, crackers and popcorn. This plan is a reasonably good one to follow given the fact it recommends generous quantities of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as restricting the consumption of saturated fats.

6.) The Zone

Suggest that you go moderately low on carbs and moderately high on proteins. Encourages low-fat protein foods such as fish, lean chicken, grains, nutritional veggies and fruits. On the downside, this weight loss plan fails to add calcium to the diet.

My Personal Choice…

For me, I wanted to choose a diet that is “all around”. What I mean by that is I wanted to choose a diet that will help me build (and maintain) muscle, burn fat, lose weight, improve my overall health, increase energy levels, etc. I also wanted to make sure that while I was “dieting”, it didn’t actually feel like “dieting”. In other words, it just had to be simple and non-restrictive…

With that said, the best diet I have found that meets all of the aforementioned criteria is the Fat Loss 4 Idiots program. I used this program for around 8 weeks time, and my end result was 52 pounds of body fat lost, I increased my energy levels, and the weight has stayed off permanently. If you want to read my full review of this program, you can check out it at If you know about this diet already, and you want to get started now, you can Click Here To Check Out The Fat Loss 4 Idiots Program.

Whatever choice you make, I hope you find the right diet for YOU. Just stay consistent, stay focused, stay motivated, and with everything you do… have FUN! Living healthy and getting in the best shape of your life is not as daunting as many make it out to be. It only becomes that way if you choose an ineffective and complicated diet or if you inadvertently sabotage your dieting efforts (such as keeping bad foods around, having too many cheat days, not getting enough exercise, etc.).

Nevertheless, Susan and I wish you the best of luck with getting in the best shape of your life!
