First off, your eyes are not deceiving you: The title literally did just say that you can lose weight with carbs and fats! Read on to discover 6 proven effective tips that will reveal to you that if you include these nutrients in your diet (the right way), you’ll melt away pounds of stubborn fat like crazy!
1. Decrease consumption of bad fats…
Okay the first tip is to ensure that you minimize the consumption of bad fats. Bad fats are foods that are loaded with saturated and trans fats. These are the types of fats that will cause a plethora of problems with your body (including weight gain, fat gain, heart problems, blood flow problems, and more). Out of the two, the one I recommend you completely eliminate from your diet is trans fat!
2. Eat good fats MODERATELY…
The next thing you want to do is to eat good fats, but do so moderately. Good fats are monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and omega fatty acids.
The foods that you’ll find good fats in are fish, olive oil, nuts, avocado, and more.
Although these fats are great for you (especially for heart health), and they will help you lose weight, they are still very high in calories for the most part. Therefore, you still must eat these types of foods in moderation.
3. Decrease consumption of bad carbs…
Bad carbs are found in processed and junk foods and foods high in sugar. Eating these types of foods are the leading cause of weight gain, fat gain, diabetes, obesity, heart problems, digestive problems, and so much more! Clearly, it makes perfect sense to do away with these foods as much as possible!
Now, although bad carbs are… well… bad (lol), I still recommend that you have a little cheat food every now and then. This of course will not hurt your weight loss progress… just as long as you have a cheat MEAL (or snack)… and not a cheat DAY!
Also, it’s okay to have a little bit of sugar right after a muscle-building workout (such as a small sports drink) provided that you have also had some fast digesting protein (such as a whey protein shake). Reason being is because sugar will help in distributing the protein so that you can recover quicker.
4. Eat good carbs MODERATELY…
Now, the best types of carbohydrates that I recommend you do eat are good carbs. And again, this is a type of nutrient that you should still eat in moderation.
Good carbs are slow digesting foods that are high in fiber. The types of foods that have an excellent source of fiber are natural whole grains (gluten-free) and fresh fruits and vegetables.
When eaten moderately and consistently, these types of foods will improve your digestive system, detoxify your body, improve your overall health, shrink your stomach, increase your energy levels, and help you lose a ton of weight!
5. With these nutrients, drinking enough water is SUPER important…
Good carbs and good fats are certainly important nutrients that anyone MUST include in their diet in order to lose weight and stay in shape and great health. However, there is one more component that must be included in order for these nutrients to work effectively (without side-effects)… and that would be drinking plenty of water!
Water is not just important for staying hydrated, detoxifying your body, getting rid of water weight, and so much more, it is also important to get plenty of water to help with the digestion of important nutrients (such as healthy carbs and healthy fats).
Not drinking enough water, but at the same time eating plenty of these 2 super nutrients is a recipe for disaster! The most prominent issue that will develop are digestive problems.
Aside from that, drinking plenty of water will help with the distribution of these nutrients throughout your body.
A wise rule to follow to determine how much water you need to drink is to simply take the current weight you are at right now, divide that into half, and then drink that amount in ounces of fresh filtered water each day.
*TIP* If you haven’t done so already, I HIGHLY recommend that you invest into a fresh water filter attachment for your kitchen sink faucet. You will save a TON of money in comparison to buying spring water bottles!
6. Make sure the diet you go on includes these nutrients in your meal plan (among all other important nutrients)…
Most of these diet programs out here treat carbs and fats as evil. Although BAD carbs and BAD fats can be seriously damaging to one’s body, as you have just witnessed above, GOOD carbs, and GOOD fats are absolutely vital if you want to have great health and a great body. The problem with most diet programs is that they want you to restrict ALL types of carbohydrates and fats… and this will lead to a mountain of problems.
So, I highly recommend that you find a diet program that includes not just eating these 2 super nutrients we are talking about today, but also many other types of nutrients as well. This way you WILL NOT STARVE, you WILL NOT DEPRIVE yourself, and you’ll lose weight and body fat much more quickly.
