1. Drink a glass of water as soon as you awake…


Well, by drinking a glass of water (I recommend at least 8 ounces), you are rehydrating yourself given that your body used a lot of water overnight to help digest food. Also, by drinking water first thing in the morning, you’ll elevate your metabolism.

2. Do a quick 5 minute circuit training routine in the morning right after #1 above…

A quick circuit training routine is doing a group of body weight exercises in a circuit non-stop for 5 minutes. What this will do is it will jump-start your metabolism and will give you a boost of NATURAL energy!

I recommend you choose 1 core exercise (i.e. sit-ups), 1 upper body exercise (i.e. push-ups), 1 lower body exercise (i.e. lunges), and 1 cardio routine (i.e. running in place with knees high). Do these workouts back to back in a circuit for 5 minutes.

BONUS TIP: Body weight circuit workouts are also an EXCELLENT alternative exercise routine in comparison to going to the gym or getting expensive fitness equipment. What you’ll want to do is instead of a 5 minute circuit, simply increase it to 15-20 minutes (with rest breaks for 60 seconds or so after completely a circuit once) for a total body complete workout. To keep it fun and motivating, mix it up everyday!

3. Eat a SMART breakfast…

Of course, you should NEVER skip breakfast, but, you should also ensure that what you have for breakfast is going to be extremely beneficial to you throughout the day.

Eating a sugary and/or high carb breakfast is going to make you crave carbs later in the day and will cause a sugar crash by mid-day. Instead, eat a breakfast that is very diversified with key nutrients (such as protein, fiber, healthy fat, and vitamins/minerals). An example of a breakfast such as this could be a Greek yogurt (protein), a handful of almonds (healthy fat), and 2 fruits such as an apple and an orange (fiber, vitamins, minerals).

4. Refill your motivation…

Most people looking to lose weight and improve their bodies don’t realize how important it is to not just GET motivated, but to also STAY motivated.

Motivation is temporary, and that’s because of so many things in our daily life draining that motivation away. Therefore, it is very important that you keep your motivational level high.

What motivates YOU is obviously going to be different from others, so, figure out what “pumps you up” to want to transform your body, and keep going back to it on a daily basis to maintain your motivation and to increase your willpower.
