5 Step Plan For Unstoppable Motivation To Diet And Exercise (And Stay Healthy For Life!)

Are you tired of getting started with a diet and exercise plan with a ton of motivation… only to lose this motivation sometime after? There have been many studies indicating that most people give up on their diets within one to two weeks after starting. The biggest reason why? A loss of motivation. This is something that happened to me very frequently… and as a result, I wound up stopping and starting diets several times! The good news is that through lots of headaches and disappointments, I realized a simple plan to help me get and STAY motivated. With this plan, I had a ton of motivation to finish my program… and I still have a ton of motivation to stay living healthy for life.

If you want to experience unstoppable motivation to diet, exercise, and stay living healthy for the rest of your life, then read on for my 5 step simple plan:

#1. The Motivating Reason…

Identify and write down the number one MOTIVATING reason why you want to get in shape. Why am I emphasizing “motivating”? Well, this is because most people want to get in shape for the obvious reasons (lose weight, burn fat, improve health, etc.). Although those reasons can be motivating, and they of course are very important, most of us need that extra “push” to make us want to stick to something.

What do I mean?

Well, if you are a part of a weight loss contest, or if there is some special event coming up, or you are about to enter into the job marketplace, or you have a presentation to do that’s coming up, or you are about to start dating again, etc., then those types of reasons for getting in shape can certainly help push you forward. If you don’t have one of these types of reasons, then I highly recommend you find something exciting that will push you to stick to your program.

#2. Tiny Goals = BIG Results…

One of the biggest mistakes made is starting a diet and exercise program focused on your primary goal. Your primary goal is your big goal, and if you are focused on this, then it could end seeming like a daunting task… and then therefore cause you to lose motivation.

Solution?

Of course make your primary goal, BUT, make smaller goals and stick to those. The smaller goals will add up and eventually you’ll end up reaching your primary goal as a result! For example, set a goal to exercise for at least 30 minutes for 4 days within the next 7 days.

Setting small goals makes it easier for you to stick to your program… and then ultimately… you’ll reach your big goal!

#3. Refuel…

Daily life can take its toll on your inspiration and motivation levels with getting a better body. Unfortunately, it’s inevitable. But… there is hope…

The best thing to do to ensure you don’t lose inspiration and motivation is to simply keep refueling yourself with it on a daily basis. Watch transformation videos, watch fitness programs, read success stories, make an inspirational poster containing photos related to health and fitness and place it somewhere you can see everyday, and more.

#4. Present Action Words…

This tip involves controlling your mindset about dieting and exercising. One thing that can hinder your motivational levels is by saying or thinking the wrong words when it comes to dieting and exercising. Saying things such as I “ought to” or “should do” something can cause you to make excuses and lose motivation.

The best thing to do is to use “present action words”. Say things such as I “feel a need to”, “want to”, “desire to”, “prefer to”, etc., exercise, eat a healthy meal, etc., and then do it. Consistently doing this will eventually switch from you having to say you need do something to you automatically doing the right things without thinking!

#5. Start Off On The Right Foot…

What better way to ensure you don’t fail than starting off on the right foot with an effective diet program and exercise regimen to begin with?

For exercising, the best advice I can give you is to first identify what you want to accomplish with fitness (it could be to become more athletic, improve your overall health, get lean and toned, etc.), then take into consideration any physical limitations you may have currently (joint problems, excessive weight, etc.), and then look into the workouts that YOU will be willing to do consistently. After you gather all this information, find an effective fitness program or design your own, based off of those things I just mentioned.

For dieting, go natural… period. If you want results, and you want results that come quickly and permanently, then natural dieting is the only way to get it. Natural dieting is all about EATING to lose weight (not starving yourself), EATING to boost your metabolism (not decrease it), and EATING to live (not the other way around).

So, if you want to get unstoppable motivation, then I recommend you give those 5 steps above a try. All that is left for you to do is to take action and stay consistent!
