If you program it the wrong way (in this case, by not eating enough), your metabolism automatically slows down to protect your body. The reason it does this is because it senses that your body is starving, and it is your metabolism’s job to protect your body. Therefore, it slows down and will begin to STORE calories you eat!
This in turn causes yo-yo weight loss, and in many cases, you’ll end up regaining MORE weight than you originally lost!
Mistake #2 – Eating too many so-called “healthy” foods…
The food industry is a billion dollar industry not just because… well… we all need to eat, but also because companies are very clever at tricking people into thinking their foods are healthy options.
Just because foods read “low-fat”, “low-carb”, “low-calorie”, “sugar-free”, “diet”, etc., doesn’t ALWAYS mean it is okay to eat or drink. Majority of those types of foods and beverages eliminate one bad source (i.e. fat) and replace it with something else unhealthy (i.e. sugar).
So, what I recommend for you to do is to THOROUGHLY read the labels of foods you buy and ensure that it is as natural and as healthy as possible. Also, it doesn’t hurt to do a little bit of searching online about foods you are considering purchasing.
Mistake #3 – Eating too much at once…
This reminds me about the mistakes I made early on when I first got an aquarium. I would over-feed my fish like crazy (lol)! I later on learned that the stomachs of most fish are like the size of a tip of a pencil! Well, a humans stomach is certainly not that small, but it is still small. Your stomach on the outside is not an indicator of what your stomach looks like in the inside. It’s a whole lot smaller.
