Interestingly enough, several vegetables have a special way of encouraging the reduction of body fat. These properties are called phytonutrients and they help your body get rid of fat that gets stored in your stomach.
One of the major problems with our bodies and the way belly fat increases is that our food supply contains certain foods which add to the problem. Often this happens without our knowledge. Many will contain certain chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and other things which are said to cause what is known as an “estrogenic effect.” What’s important to pay attention to is the fact that these xenoestrogens, or chemicals actually cause our bodies to hold onto stomach fat.
Mike Geary, Certified Nutrition Expert, states that even if you eat organically and live in an area that is relatively low in terms of pollution, you would be hard pressed not to have some sort of daily exposure to these chemicals. This is made even more difficult since these xenoestrogens are also found in common household cleansers and cosmetic products.
So what can be done to counteract the effect of these hidden belly fat hoarders? It turns out that there are several easy ways to stop these chemicals from forcing your body to hold onto stomach fat. But one of the simplest methods to get your stomach fat moving is by eating specific types of vegetables. These are called cruciferous vegetables and eating them can reduce the damage potential of estrogens on our body as a result of the foods we eat and chemicals in our living environments
To burn off belly fat try eating foods like cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, collard greens or mustard greens, and asparagus. Others include beets, carrots, cucumbers, celery and brussel sprouts or lettuce, garlic and radishes. Each of these vegetables has its own beneficial properties from cabbage which melts the fat in the stomach area to beets and their ability to act as a diuretic. Carrots have a fat cleaning effect on stomach fat and celery which if eaten uncooked can encourage the body to immediately go to work creating hormones to burn stored up belly fat.
Of course developing a healthy lifestyle and eating routine will go a long way towards meeting, or exceeding your health and weight loss goals. Check with medical professionals or nutritionists when embarking on any major weight loss plan or campaign and continue to be sensible about your meal choices. Although eating vegetables in their raw form make it harder for the body to digest them, therefore requiring the use of more calories, adding some form of exercise to your daily routine is also helpful.
